God told Jonah to go to a city called Nineveh. Jonah disobeyed. He got on a boat and went the other way. During a terrible storm, Jonah was thrown into the ocean and was swallowed by a BIG fish! Jonah prayed to God for help — and was rescued. Then Jonah listened to God. He went to Nineveh to tell the people how God wanted them to live.
Dear God, help us to listen to you wisely, wherever we are and whatever we do! Amen.
